Our dedicated team continually monitors cruise line itinerary changes and cancellations to assist you so that you can have a worry-free experience:
Itinerary Changes: If your cruise changes itinerary once departed, we will advise our resort partners and your existing passes will still be valid on your new day in port!
Missed Port of Call: If your cruise ship is unable to dock at the planned port during the duration of your cruise, your purchase is fully refundable.
Cancelled Sailings: Should your sailing be cancelled in its entirety, your purchase is fully refundable.

Cancellation policy:

Our Resort for a Day excursions are fully refundable up to 2 days before your cruise start date; or if your cruise does not pull into port. If the cruise comes into port and you decide not to go to the resort, you would forfeit your deposit but would not be responsible for any balance due.

Please send your cancellation request to info@resortforaday.com and include your Order ID in your request. Refunds will be issued back to the original form of payment. However, refund requests for orders placed over 180 day ago will be issued via a mailed check.

Is Resort for a Day a US based company?

Yes, Resort for a Day is based out of Wilmington, MA. All of our day passes are listed in US currency & our customer support team is available to assist you 7 days a week through the chat feature on our website, through email & by telephone. 

Resort for a Day offers Resort Passes for which tropical destinations?

Resort for a Day currently offers passes on: Amber Cove, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Cabo San Lucas, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Curacao, Freeport, Grenada, Puerto Plata, Puerto Vallarta,  Grand Cayman, Jamaica, La Romana, Nassau, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, & St. Maarten . We are always trying to grow our product offerings, so check back often!

How Can I Pay for my Resort Pass?

Depending on the resort you are either required to pay a small deposit or pay in full. Please check the payment policies of the specific resort you are considering.

I have young babies, are they complimentary?

Many Resorts do have complimentary passes for infants & toddlers. Please visit the resort page to find our specific age requirements.

Does Resort for a Day offer transfers?

Yes - In Jamaica, St. Lucia and Curacao includes round trip transportation with your day pass.

Do I have to be coming off a cruise ship to visit the resort?

Resort for a Day passes are only available to cruisers in port, however, our sister company, DayPasses.com offers many of the same resort day passes that are exclusively for non-cruisers!

What if my ship misses the port?

The Resort for a Day team will work with you to ensure you are fully refunded OR find you an alternative day pass option for another port. 

How far in advance should I buy my passes?

Space is very limited at our resorts. Book in advance to ensure your spot is secured.

Can I buy passes for every island my ship visits?

Yes, as long as that destination has a participating Resort For A Day pass.

Do I pay in full now or do I pay a deposit now?

Many of our resorts only require a deposit to be paid at the time of purchase. However we do offer some resorts that do require full payment in order to purchase a pass.

How can I save money if I am part of a group?

Resort for a Day offers discounts to large groups at most resorts. The minimum number of participants in a group will vary based on the resort. Please submit a Group Discount Request Form to learn more about your discount options! 

Do resort passes include a guest room?

No, but most of our day passes include the use of the resorts best amenities including: pool & beach access & dining options.

If the hotel requires a room, is possible to purchase a pass for just the beach and pool?

We do not currently offer day passes that require you to reserve a day room. 

Are all resort passes “all inclusive”?

Most of our resorts have all inclusive passes & some offer food & beverage credits. Every resort has unique offerings - please check the inclusions for the resort you're interested in.

Are Resort for a Day Passes sold on-board my cruise ship?

No - Resort passes MUST be purchased online from ResortforaDay.com

Can I buy a resort pass at the port?

No - Resort passes MUST be purchased online from ResortforaDay.com

Must I print my pass or can I use my smartphone or tablet to check-in?

A PRINTED version of your day pass is required at check-in at the resort. Showing an electronic day pass will not be accepted & slow down the check-in process. 

Can I use my credit card to pay the balance at the resort?

Yes - Credit Cards are accepted at the resort for final payments. Some resorts are cashless and require a credit card for the balance due.

What if my ship changes the visit date while I'm at sea?

Resort for a Day will work with you to ensure we are able to either switch your day or the resort for your time in port as long as there is availability. 

Is this a real vacation resort or timeshare?

This is not a timeshare property. We only sell day passes to vacation resorts!

Can I use the lounge chairs and towels?

Most Resort for a Day passes include the use of towels and lounge chairs but you will need to check the inclusions of the resort you're interested in to verify.  

Are child rates the same at all resorts?

No - Children's rates and age requirements vary depending on the resort you are visiting. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Are tax and gratuity included?

Yes! All of our Resort for a Day passes include resort tax and gratuity. Tax and gratuity for on-site purchases are not included.
